BOOK REVIEW

50 Boyfriends Worse than Yours
Author: Justin Racz
Price: P839.50

If you're a woman involved in a relationship, you know that there are days when your significant other seems to be the clumsiest, dorkiest and densest guy on the planet. You wonder why you have to put up with him. Well, Justin Racz's 50 Boyfriends Worse Than Yours shows you fifty male specimens that, on their best days, would make your partner a veritable angel in comparison. Once you finish reading this hilarious collection, you'll love your boyfriend all the more - unless he's one of the weirdoes in the list.
The latest book from the author of 50 Jobs Worse Than Yours and 50 Relatives Worse Than Yours covers a lot of ground when it comes to the worst male stereotypes. Some of those found in the book are just annoying, like the overly thrifty boyfriend (a cheapskate who takes you out on a date paying only with coupons), or the guy who's balding and sensitive about it (Never mention the hair - or lack thereof). Still, others epitomize a woman's worst fears, in the form of Mr.Anger Management, the Guy Who Looks Better Than You and Mr.1.5(this number pertains to a certain part of his anatomy - in inches). To make the identification of these miscreants easier, Racz has included handy information for each. A profile gives you a general idea of what the guy is about, along with his look, his ride, his benefits and disadvantages. Also, pictures are included to help you spot the lowlifes from a good distance, enabling you to quickly run away the minute they start to approach.
50 Boyfriends Worse Than Yours is a funny read, and a bit alarming considering how accurate some of the descriptions are. It proves that while stereotyping is generally negative, it isn't unfounded. While the book is an enjoyable diversion after a breakup, it's perfect as a gift. Boost your guy's ego by giving him this book, reminding him that although he's no Brandon Routh, he's still quite a catch. Or better yet, give it to your ex - with a bookmark placed on the category that best describes him.
