The largest known tree is in California
The General Sherman giant sequoia growing in Sequoia National Park, California, is the biggest living tree in the world. It is 275 feet tall. Its diameter is 36 feet. Its branches are up to seven feet thick. Its weight is estimated to be over four million pounds. It is almost 4000 years old.
